Electronics grade water

The ASTM⁽¹⁾ Electronics and semiconductor grade water standard distinguish various different standard gradations of pure water for the semiconductor application and related industry. As both the technique and the appliance evolve continuous, the requirements for high-end use are more strict. These requirements are classified in type E-1.1 and type E-1.2.

Typical configurations for type E-1(1.1 and 1.2) installations are two-pass reverse osmosis (RO), followed by CEDI and a polishing section respectively.
